A white slug with a brilliant gold band on the edge of the mantle. It is long and slender, but when out of the water looks rather squishy and slimy. In water it will have its white gills extended and its sensory rhinophores ( "tentacles") will also be extended.
It is found at low tide down to 24 m depth in sponge gardens.
This slug feeds on only one species of sponge (Drysidea sp).
