Colonial seasquirts are made up of many individuals. Often confused with sponge. Textures of these colonies are slimy and gelatinous.
It is found from the very low tide zone to the sub tidal zone.Lives encrusting on rocks or seaweed stipes and blades.
Filters tiny plankton out of the water.
They reproduce by broadcast spawning. It is often associated with other compound sea squirts and sponges.
