A red isopod often with a paler stripe down the middle of the back, each segement of the exoskeleton curves towards the head. The tail section curved outwards. This animal reaches 30mm long.
Found on rocky shores in red seaweeds, from low tide to shallow subtidal. It is nocturnal.
Feeds on red seaweed.
