Delicate, with a thick orange to dirty brown cuticle often covered with mud or sand. Tentacles are buff or orange and are finely tapered.
Burrowed in mud or sand, with only the mouth and tentacles showing. on harbour flats or sheltered rock pools. Intertidal.
Feeds on organic detritus within the sediment.
