This slug has a series of dark red-brown spots on a background of opaque white to pale or rich dark red-brown. There is a white line around the body and it has chocolate brown rhinophores ("antennae"), the gill and foot is white. A very distinctive animal. It is smooth and soft to the touch.


Rocky reefs in semi-sheltered to open shores. Under boulders durring the day.


Sponges,


When irritated it discharges a thick milky white fluid. An uncommon slug, becoming rarer.
